Neal would have to murder someone on their porch for Raylan to kick him out like that. He knew Neal to be a good and soft and caring man, even if that meant he made some bad decisions for it. Raylan couldn't promise to approve or to agree but Neal was family. That wasn't going to change without an action here to adjust it.

"Malcolm's a good man." I don't deserve him came the involuntary thought afterwards. The whole situation with him and Tim swept past his mind but Raylan was well practiced at putting that sort of stuff away.
