Malcolm considered telling him many things. That Raylan will do whatever he needs to do; that he takes his responsibilities seriously and Tim is one of them; that Raylan took that house at 1308 in the first place because he needs a certain amount of his own space; that night shift has taken a toll on all of the people who share it, and that’s with none of them even attempting to take every single night.

Instead, he told him one, simple, relevant truth. “I asked him last night. And he’ll be at 1308 tonight.”

He turned and started them walking again.
