Malcolm considers that for a long moment.
“No,” he finally says. “I’m going to take it by myself. Tomorrow. But you can stay with me tomorrow night. For night shift. Then you’ll see I’m still alive. Okay?”
He isn’t sure how he’s going to feel but he wants to go there on his own terms.
