"It's not mental illness," Tim said, paused and then clarified his statement. "Not in the way as someone who lives with depression, anxiety, OCD, or other illness like that all their life."

He leaned forward lacing his hands in between his knees.

"It's a trauma induced injury. As shocking and debilitating as having a limb blown off, and like that sort of physical injury, it changes the way you will live your life forever."
