"We will be alright for a while," Doc promises. He can't say what will happen when the reserves they are running on runs out. Or what will happen if whatever powers the replenishment of the shelves is fixed. Will people start stockpiling for themselves? He doesn't wish for things to get ugly but he's not sure they would have a choice.
"When you are out of food, or if you need to leave, for any reason, come to the house. And bring your brother. We will take care of you," Doc promises. He has no idea how they are going to manage, but. They will, somehow.
