"Then maybe I'll be halfway on mark," he mused. His imagination was useful in his work, all the more for the dark edges it took to turning. He was silently grateful for the help though; the library wasn't exactly what he would personally call small and while he liked keeping himself and his hand busy, he didn't want to spend all night here.

"A few. Interesting stories themselves. I've learned to stop tellin' people that things are impossible. Too many people with experience that says otherwise." He would sound almost tired about it all, if his natural tone wasn't so casual.

"That," he said, pausing to point a finger at her without looking, "Sounds at least a little more reasonable than abracadabra. I'd ask for a show but frankly, I ain't got the time to try and wrap my head around it."

And he would. Faith isn't something he carried a lot of, for anything.
