Precious few people call Doc out on his macho shit. He raises an eyebrow but cracks a small smile and nods. If it would put her mind at ease, he would (somewhat reluctantly) stay put and let himself be waited upon. At least for another day or two.

"Well I won't make you carry me, if we do run into a spot of trouble and have to leave this place in haste," Doc tries to lighten up their mood with a joke. At some point if the situation was genuinely dire, he would argue that he isn't worth the effort, and to leave him behind.
