"No. I have to go. Only place I haven't checked, 'sides the lighthouse. I ran away last night, Henry. I got Neal out and went mad with fear and was headin' right for the woods. Won't be able to stand myself if I can't face it in the light of day. I gotta check. Every where. It'll be.. fine."
It wasn't going to be fine. The fraying of Raylan's seams were only going to get worse with what he found there. But for now, the Cowboy was resolute. Dishonor had been earned. He heard Callisto calling him a coward in the back of his mind more often than he'd care to admit.
Raylan rubbed hard at his face. "God I wish there was somethin' to drink," he muttered, sighing heavily as the hand dropped back down. "I'm so goddamned tired, Doc."
