Raylan was far enough into his own head (or out of it, depending on your perspective) that he hadn't noticed Bucky on the other end of the beach at all, even after standing around for a few minutes. The edges of his world view had long started to fuzz around the edges, more severely than he'd realized, but the sharp sound of a voice that wasn't in his own head jolted him into some kind of awareness.
Turning to look at Bucky, Raylan looked very much like a deer in headlights, like Bucky had snuck up on him. But he knew Bucky - Bucky wasn't a threat. Hell, he'd helped carry the man up from the cliffs he was heading towards; he figured that had to get him some social currency. "Bucky." Raylan glanced behind him, hands working each other again before he dropped them, thumb still fidgeting with his horseshoe ring.
"Not... perse.. You uh.. You seen the cave down here?"
