“I understand,” Malcolm told him softly, fingers still fidgeting gently at his hair. “And we don’t know what’s still coming. But I know you don’t have to face it alone,” was all he could offer. He gave him a warm kiss. “Do you think maybe you could get a couple of hours if I keep watch over you?” he asked. “I find that belt slipping feeling subsides a bit with a couple of hours of sleep.”
