Ellie really just gravitated toward the theatre that last evening after the fire because of some weird misplaced…what, nostalgia? Maybe. It's been weeks since she was at the old theatre in Seattle with Dina. Fuck, she misses Dina. She has to believe that Dina got home all right, that she's not sick anymore.
It's hard to sleep. She's not sure where anyone is; she missed anyone else coming in here, so she's alone and exhausted. Sleep is fitful and she wakes too early. She can't shake the feeling that death is still waiting for her. Someone did this to the town, to...to her specifically? No, that's fucking bonkers, she knows, but...well, she can't shake it.
Wait, is something happening? She definitely hears something. She pulls her knife out and follows the sounds to the projection booth. But there's nothing up there when she goes up. She shines her flashlight around the booth, but nothing weird is here. Great. She's probably hearing shit too because why not, right?
"This fucking town, I swear to god," she says out loud to no one, stomping back down the stairs out of it. Sorry, were you sleeping here? Probably not anymore, between the sounds and her angry storming around.
It's still early, but she eventually finds some alcove and sits there with her guitar. Of course it's eerily reminiscent of the night she played for Dina, but whatever, she's still trying not to think of Dina. She's idly playing the guitar here for a bit before she heads out.
Anyone in the vicinity the morning of Day 79 can catch Ellie either coming out of the projection booth or playing the guitar.
