There doesn't seem to be any guarantees around here. He doesn't like the way he's being manhandled about as much as the next person - he can't know what else is being done to them; if it's a harmless change of attire or if they're being subjected to something else while they're out - but he didn't need a crazy town doing invasive things to them to try and convince him that he was crazy.

"Wouldn't be the first time it's stopped working." Whatever... magic keeps that place refilling the way it does. "I happen to have amassed some surplus myself. Could bring them over later," he offers. It's not much, but it'll be enough staples to get her started at least.
