"Already knew you were strong, stronger than we give you enough credit for, but what you did to protect him, to protect me?" The sniper made a few aborted noises, as he picked up words and set them down as inane. Eventually he leaned back and looked into Raylan's face, bloodshot eyes searching.
"I cannot imagine you're alright, Raylan. Tell me, what am I missing?" He whispered back the words that the older man had used on him just the night before.
