Admitting them would never have done any good. It would only have destroyed the friendship they did have, which is what Tim felt like was happening here.
He looked at the backpack, the lunch and the lavender well aware that tears were gathering in his eyes, making them glitter. Tim reached up to rub his fingers over his eyes, trying to catch and smear away the tears before they fell. He took a deep breath and then nodded.
"Yeah, okay." He said in a voice that broke slightly. He finally looked at Raylan. The situation was shit and that showed in his expression. "I can do that," he continued softly. "I'll probably keep working on cleaning this place up, it's a good distraction, but I won't decamp here. I'll find a place down in town."
