Doc is really not in any position to be giving advice. He did promise to listen, not to force any input where it might not be needed. His own Wynonna is more stubborn than he is and no doubt she's already charted out what she is going to do with or without him. All he can do is be there if she needs him. Especially during those times she thinks she doesn't.
