Malcolm leans eagerly towards him, biscuit in his hand but already forgotten.
“You think he might not even understand why we’re here. Like we’re invaders to him.”
He has not heard a theory like that from anyone and it’s exciting.
“Like he’s part of the town but not part of the mechanism that’s doing this to us.”
