Tim exhaled a deep, careful breath and leaned back into the cradle of the sofa.

"I was always top scores in marksmanship. Had a natural talent for it, for the mathematics involved. When I went into Ranger training, I was initially tapped for scout work and from there my commanding officers added on sniper training."

He made a relaxed gesture with his hand.

"I enlisted, wasn't an officer. Picking up the specialties like scouting and sniping made me more money as well. Then I proved to be very, very good at both specialties."
