"Oh!" Jeff laughs a little, realizing now how he'd made it sound. "No, it's like the same thing where I'm from. 'Gifted' is what we call, um... wizards." Wait, maybe he should explain. "A lot of people don't feel comfortable calling magic what it is. So they just say the Gift, like that makes it any less..." He gestures in a sort of abstract way. "Magical."

As for other wizards?

"There's a lot of us, but like... also not a lot of us? We probably make up about ten percent of the population." He chews on his lip for a moment, thinking, before adding, "It's hard to say. Some people go their whole life without ever knowing." Jeff looks at Parker, then breaks into a grin, adding, "Fuck, it's still so weird to me! I mean-- thinking about a world without the Gift? There's none of this where you're from?"
