"It's a good philosophy to keep," he agrees with a warm smile. It's all totally up Jeff's happy hippie alley, the way people look out for each other here.

"Thanks! Be back in a jiffy!" Jeff makes a thoughtful face as he slips off his wet shoes, so he doesn't track any more water into the house than absolutely necessary. "What even is a jif-- never mind! Be right back."

And it's hard to say if Jeff really does come back in a jiffy, or if it's slightly longer than a jiffy, because he has no idea how to measure a jiffy, but suffice it to say, it isn't long before he's walking back out of the bathroom in sweats and a t-shirt, towel draped around his shoulders.

"Thanks for letting me wait out the storm here. Unless you're about to kick me back out, though that would be a pretty strange turn of events, since you just gave me some dry clothes... But I don't want to be presumptuous!"
