that flash of light was fucking blinding, and now Jeff can't see
shit. He squeezes his eyes shut and presses the heels of his palms against
them, cursing again, then startles as he hears the door slam open. Jeff
blinks, trying to focus on the figure-- a man-- and everything's still a
little fucked, but at least he can make out shapes now. He squints, like
that'll help, and tries to offer a smile, but it's pretty halfhearted by
Jeff's standards, more a grimace than anything else.
"That's me," he confirms, reaching out to accept the offered blur of a
hand. "Me and my infamous face."
