Negan likes connection. He thrives in company more than he ever does on his own, where it feels like he's just a husk of a person, empty with nothing to give. At least when someone is wrapped around him, he can pretend like that isn't the case.

It's soothing anyway, the way Klaus' body curls around his, the way he can feel him start to relax. Negan quiets down for now, his fingers continuing the soothing gestures through his hair to encourage him to drift off. Hell, maybe even Negan will get some decent damn sleep tonight after all.
