But what if they could hear Malcolm screaming from down here and he just ends up screaming without anyone to help him? It would be a new kind of torture he would not wish to be put through. Malcolm should be fine with Neal and Negan around. But he doesn't trust them to the same level as he trusts Raylan. Not yet, anyway.

He doesn't know how well this place would be able to sustain a string of aftershocks, either. But he doesn't want to say that aloud, not wanting to breathe life to an idea that might also keep Raylan unnecessarily preoccupied, worried, and on high alert.
