Doc had not intended to get as caught up in the minutiae of the things they all need to get by from day to day here as he had, but he cannot deny that having a routine, having things to do, it helps a lot in terms of settling in, having a reason to wake up in the too-early mornings, to keep one's mind and body occupied where answers cannot be found elsewhere.

"Well if it was big enough to fit two of every kind the first time around then it oughta be enough to fit us all this time." Doc doesn't put much stock into those stories anymore but hell, if someone's offering to build, he would chip in, lend a hand, not ask too many questions. Beats feeling like they're just sitting around waiting to die.

"I think you have had enough of me telling you too much." Even a man who might somehow not find all this to be a little bit strange needs some time to process. It's not like Doc can go anywhere so he'll still be around the house if anything else crops up. "I will make another pot of coffee and leave you be."
