Raylan settled himself at the head of the bed, sat up to lean against the headboard, one foot tucked up under his other knee, with no hint of anything much on his face. Stuffed away under his metaphorical hat indeed. There weren't going to be any more chances taken this morning - they'd all been spent up.
"Yeah," he replied, face breaking with a soft little smile that hopefully eased the edges of everything. Following his ABCs. Unlike Malcolm, his heart was worn deep down in the gut of his stomach and he knew how to pretend, and get by. "Or we bring you in here and let Neal have that bed. I wasn't upset when I got this room to begin with for a reason." Of course, he didn't think Neal really realized that he'd displaced Raylan and he wasn't bothered by that at all. Neal having a safe place to feel comfortable was more important than if Raylan had an en suite bathroom and ample seating.

"Somethin' to think over, anyway."
