An amused scoff huffs out of her at that question. "What's your plan, then, mate? Open the door. Go investigating." She snorts but there's no humor in the sound, more derision than anything. Like it's the dumbest thing she's heard all day. "The Buried also goes by Too Close I Cannot Breathe. It's whole schtick is closing in around you. Tighter and tighter until you can't breathe, can't move. Dirt fills your lungs, like you're drowning in it, and everything is so close, it's all you can do to even cough to get it out. It doesn't work, of course, but it's all you can do."

She shakes her head, "You stop knowing which was is up and where you started from. People get lost in it, they never come out." A slight shrug of shoulders. "So yeah, I'll sit here and listen to it and do what I can stop people from that fate." But Melanie knows... if it Calls to them, she won't be able to stop it.
