The smell of apples wafting through the house brought a particular familial kind of vibe to House 1306, one that left Raylan feeling oddly warm and sentimental. It was part of why he'd gotten his cup of coffee and gone outside - a reset in the quiet evening where he might be able to straighten out some of the threads balling up in his mind. The coffee hadn't survived for more than a half hour and he hadn't bothered to get more.
He thought the cup sitting in the accumulated snow on the railing didn't look too bad. Almost.. artsy.
Raylan was pulled out of his thoughts at the sound of the door opening and looked up to find Malcolm. Giving him a little smile and a faint nod of greeting, he reached out for said coffee offering.
"Thanks. My cup ran out.. a while ago. How's the uh.. the apples goin'?"
