Neal shifts again, uncomfortable. This, Peter doesn't know. Even after all this time, all Peter is aware of is the fact that Neal's father was dirty. Everything Neal's told him has indicated in some passive way that James Bennett is dead.

He's not thinking as quickly as he normally would. He's tired, shell-shocked. There's already no graceful way to avoid the question--he's been too quiet for too long. So he just smiles.
