"Nah, you keep your coffee. I'll take juice if they have any, though." She's not expecting juice, but...food here just kind of fills up. It's not fancy, but it's much more than she's ever had access to in her whole life. Jackson is doing well. They're not starving. People can grow some really good food. But mostly people just eat fruit, not make juice out of it.

"Veganism? What's that?" she asks. She knows vegetarian, but vegan is a foreign concept. Lots of people sort of swing vegetarian by fault when things are bad. But Ellie knows how to hunt and skin animals. When she's been travelling through the wilderness of the country, she's had more meat than anything else because it's just easier to get.

Pancakes she's had, because they have a good grain crop in Jackson.

"Pancakes are great. I'll eat pretty much anything."

She shrugs at his question. "I don't really sleep a lot. Not here and not back home anymore. You seem like you're in a pretty good mood for early morning, though. Are you, like, one of those morning people?"
