Oh, Raylan's quip was not indicative of not believing John, only a sharp sarcasm at yet another spooky thing Raylan hadn't thought of. It was to be expected, of course, considering his stark lack of knowledge in this area. Still, he listened to the rambling explanation and kept up. He didn't want to ask what kind of appeasements Ghosts might want.

Raylan smirked at John with a sidelong look at his playful descriptions. "Why'd'ya think I'm out here. Least you were smart enough to bring a light, I was gonna go on ambiance." He jutted his chin forward a little as he started walking. "You 'just out for a walk' too?"
