CW for Thread: Mentions of Death, mentions of suffocation, mentions of suicidal ideation.
[ She's more prepared this time.
Claire comes with a shovel, looted from one of the houses. She can be found during the daytime by the little makeshift graveyard, defiling one of the graves. She's digging herself up, not that this would be obviousl to anyone just by looks. Maybe someone wants to question what she's doing?
Having unearthed her own body finds Claire sitting on the ground next to it, digging through an assortment of items in her bag and touching them to the corpses' skin for a few seconds at a time. She doesn't damage the corpse - just touches an iron firepoker to the bare skin of a cheek, then a silver butter knife. Eventually, she just sits next to the corpse for a while. It's a bit morbid, to see a girl sitting next to her own corpse - certainly something to remark on.
And finally, at the end of it all, Claire constructs a small pyre. It's nothing to send home about, but it'll do the job. The body is wrapped in curtain fabrics ripped from the windows of some abandoned house or other. Claire spends some time making a fire just like she's seen Raylan do, and eventually she just stands there, silently watching the flames lick higher and higher, curling up into smoke and ash as she burns her own corpse. Come have a fireside chat with her? ]
