The runes in the dirt lit suddenly, John channeling his own energy into them. Mathias had energy--but it was like it was still. Dormant.
Then, he turned his palms upwards. The light from the runes faded and then a quick beam of light shot into the Fog. He opened one eye and lowered his hands. ]
Now, time to see if anyone will answer. Either we'll get a beam of light back... or it'll hit something and light up somewhere.
